The Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Rules
An Act to provide for the constitution of a Fund for financing activities that promote the welfare of labour in the state of Maharashtra, and for conducting such activities and certain other purposes.
It is hereby enacted as follows:
- 1. (i) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Act.
- (ii) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.
- (iii) It shall come into force in such area and on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires:
- (i) "Board" means the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board constituted under section 4;
- (1A) "Contribution" means the sum of money payable to the Board in accordance with the provisions of section 6BB;
