Registration of Shops and Establishments
Any citizen who wishes to open a new shop or a commercial establishment and wants to commence its business within the jurisdiction of the Government of Maharashtra has to register itself under the Act.
The State Labour Department has enabled a provision to get the registration formalities done online.
Accordingly, the Labour Department of the Government of Maharashtra has issued Notification dated 18.05.2015 regarding issuance of the Registration Certificate and renewal of registration under the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments Act within 7 working days from the date of receipt of the application.
