Visa Sponsorship

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

Visa sponsorship is a legal arrangement in which an employer petitions the government to allow a foreign worker to enter and work in the country. The employer acts as the sponsor, taking on responsibility for the employee’s legal status and employment.

This typically requires the company to show that the foreign worker has skills or qualifications that are not readily available in the domestic labor market. Sponsorship creates a legal pathway for international talent to work in a country where they would otherwise be restricted.
