Tax

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

A tax is an involuntary fee levied on individuals or corporations, enforced by a government entity, whether local, regional, or national, to help finance government activities. In economics, the real burden of a tax can fall on whoever ends up paying for it, whether that is the entity being taxed directly, like a business, or the end consumers of that business’s goods.
