Social Recruitment

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

Social recruitment is sourcing candidates for jobs through social media channels and networks. It generally takes two paths.

The first is extending reach: posting job openings and relying on the power of people’s own social networks to spread the word far beyond the company’s direct followers. The second is more active, searching social networks for potential candidates using publicly available information, the way a recruiter might browse LinkedIn profiles to find someone with the right skills.
