Skills Gap

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

The skills gap is the difference between the skills and qualifications employers are looking for in their workforce and the skills the available workforce actually has. It shows up when what employers require does not match what job seekers or existing employees can offer.

Across industries, this misalignment is often linked to fast-moving technological change, evolving job demands, and gaps in training or education programs that have not kept pace.
