Revenue per Employee

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

Revenue per employee is a financial metric that measures how much revenue each employee generates for an organization. Companies calculate it by dividing total annual revenue by the total number of employees over the same period.

This ratio reflects organizational productivity, or how efficiently a company converts human capital into financial results. It is commonly used as a benchmark for comparing performance against industry competitors and for tracking internal productivity trends over time.
