Restricted Holiday
A restricted holiday, also known as an optional holiday, is a day off that’s left to the employee’s discretion rather than fixed by the company. Employees can choose to take a restricted holiday on a day that suits them, often based on personal or cultural preference.
That choice is still subject to employer approval and whatever workplace policies are already in place.
