Remuneration

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

Remuneration is the money and other compensation an employee or executive receives for their work. It typically includes base salary or wages, bonuses, and commissions, though it usually excludes tips and expense reimbursements.

Beyond regular pay, whether hourly wages or an annual salary, remuneration can also include commissions, bonuses (including those paid in stock), and overtime, holiday, vacation, and sick pay.
