Reimbursement

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

Reimbursement is when someone is compensated or repaid for expenses they paid on behalf of an organization, individual, or other entity. This usually happens after the person provides evidence of the expense, following whatever policy or agreement is already in place.

Reimbursement can cover many types of costs, such as travel expenses, medical bills, or other business-related expenditures, depending on the specific circumstances and terms of the arrangement.
