One-on-One Meeting

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

A one-on-one meeting, sometimes called a ‘1:1,’ is a private, usually planned meeting between two people. In a professional setting, these typically happen between supervisors and their direct reports, or between team members and coworkers more generally.

These sessions give people dedicated, focused time for candid conversation, constructive feedback, goal-setting, and working through any questions or concerns.
