Notice Buyout

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

A notice buyout is a contractual arrangement where the party ending a contract, usually the employer, offers a financial sum to the other party so they can skip the required notice period and end the employment or contract immediately. The payment compensates for that immediate departure and is usually spelled out in the employment contract or agreement.
