Monetary Compensation

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

Monetary compensation is the pay employers give employees in exchange for their work or services, most commonly in the form of wages. Wages are typically paid hourly, weekly, or monthly, based on an agreed rate for the time worked.

Wages are usually associated with non-salaried or hourly workers and are subject to labor regulations like minimum wage, overtime pay, and working hour limits.
