Leased Employees

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

A leased employee is a worker employed by a leasing firm but assigned to perform services for another company. The leasing firm handles payroll, taxes, and benefits, while the host company directs the employee’s day-to-day work. This arrangement gives businesses workforce flexibility without the administrative burden.

Companies use leased employees to access specialized skills, scale their teams up or down quickly, and keep hiring costs down.
