Knowledge Management

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

Knowledge Management (KM) is the process of generating, gathering, sharing, and using knowledge to improve organizational performance. It involves creating new skills, capabilities, and competencies, and making sure that knowledge actually gets used by the people in the organization.

In practice, that means building an environment where people share what they know, internalize what they learn from each other, and apply it to create new knowledge.
