Generation Z

Updated on: October 14, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

Generation Z, or Gen Z, is the demographic cohort born between the early 2000s and the present day. It follows Generation Y (Millennials), which in turn follows Generation X.

Gen Z has gotten less attention in workplace research than Millennials did at a similar age, in part because the oldest members only recently moved from being students to being part of the workforce. They are generally characterized as tech-savvy, having grown up as natural internet users.
