Candidates per Hire tells you how many people you need in your pipeline to land one successful hire. It’s a useful gut-check on how well your recruitment process is actually working, and the more you hire for a given role, the more reliable the number gets.

The formula is simple:

Candidates per Hire = Total number of candidates ÷ Total number of hires
