Attendance Regularization
Attendance regularization is the process by which employees correct or update their own attendance records. In an office setting, attendance is typically captured automatically through a punch-in device. But when someone works from home, travels, or misses a punch for any reason, there’s no automatic record. Regularization fills that gap.
The employee submits a request through the self-service portal, for example marking a day as work from home or correcting a missed punch. That request goes to their reporting manager or HR, depending on how the approval hierarchy is configured. Once approved, the attendance record updates automatically and the change reflects in real time.
