Attendance Management System

Updated on: October 13, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

A time and attendance system tracks when employees start and stop work. It lets an employer monitor working hours, late arrivals, early departures, time spent on breaks, and absenteeism.

It also helps control labor costs by cutting down on overpayments, which usually happen when employees get paid for time they did not actually work, and it eliminates transcription errors, misread records, and the occasional intentional one. Time and attendance systems can also help a company stay compliant with labor regulations that require proof of attendance.
