Attendance Integration
Attendance integration is the process of pulling attendance data captured by electronic devices, biometric scanners, punch machines, and similar tools, into payroll software for processing. It typically runs on a monthly cycle, timed to coincide with payroll.
Attendance can also be recorded manually, but electronic capture has the practical advantage of producing a structured output file that can be imported directly rather than entered by hand. The data that feeds into this includes punch-in times, break hours, half-day records, shift assignments, overtime, and absenteeism.
Getting attendance data right matters because it connects directly to payroll accuracy. Missing or incorrect records affect salary calculations, which creates downstream problems for both employees and HR.
