Appraisal Letters

Updated on: October 13, 2026 Sneha Gondhale 1 min read

Appraisal letters are written by HR to recognize an employee's work performance over the course of a year. Instead of just filing that feedback away in a performance review, the letter calls it out directly, telling the employee what they did well.

The goal is straightforward: employees who feel recognized for their hard work are more likely to keep performing at that level, or push even further.
