The Madhya Pradesh government notified the Draft Social Security Rules, 2021 in the gazette on 1 March 2021.
Applicability
The Draft Rules apply across the whole State of Madhya Pradesh. Once in force, they will repeal nine existing regulations:
- Madhya Pradesh Employees’ Insurance Court Rules, 1963
- Madhya Pradesh Employees’ State Insurance (Medical Benefit Service System) Rules, 1959
- Madhya Pradesh Supplies to the Hospitals Established under the Scheme of Employees’ State Insurance Rules, 1981
- Payment of Gratuity (Madhya Pradesh) Rules, 1973
- Madhya Pradesh Workmen’s Compensation Rules, 1962
- Madhya Pradesh Workmen’s Compensation (Occupational Diseases) Rules, 1963
- Madhya Pradesh Workmen’s Compensation (Schedule III Parts ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Occupational Diseases) Rules, 2001
- Madhya Pradesh Maternity Benefit Rules, 1965
- Madhya Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2002
