The Maharashtra government notified the Draft Social Security Rules, 2021 in the gazette on 27 August 2021.
Applicability
The Draft Rules apply across the whole State of Maharashtra. Once in force, they will repeal three existing regulations:
- Maharashtra Unorganized Workers’ Social Security Rules, 2013
- Payment of Gratuity (Maharashtra) Rules, 1972
- Maharashtra Maternity Benefit Rules, 1965
