The Jharkhand government notified the Draft Social Security Rules, 2021 in the gazette on 3 August 2021.
Applicability
Once in force, the Draft Rules will take effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. They will repeal five existing regulations:
- Jharkhand Workmen’s Compensation Rules, 1924
- Jharkhand Maternity Benefit Rules, 1964
- Payment of Gratuity (Jharkhand) Rules, 1972
- Jharkhand Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006
- Jharkhand Unorganized Workers Social Security Rules, 2013
