The Himachal Pradesh government notified the Draft Social Security Rules, 2021 in the Rajpatra (e-Gazette) on 30 October 2021.
Applicability
Once in force, the Draft Rules will apply across the whole of Himachal Pradesh, effective from the date following their final publication in the Rajpatra. They will repeal four existing regulations:
- Himachal Pradesh Maternity Benefits Rules, 1973
- Payment of Gratuity (Himachal Pradesh) Rules, 1972
- Himachal Pradesh Unorganised Workers’ Social Security Rules, 2015
- Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008
