The Gujarat government notified the Draft Social Security Rules, 2021 in the gazette on 16 November 2021.
Applicability
Once in force, the Draft Rules will apply across the whole of Gujarat, effective from the date following their final publication in the Official Gazette. They will repeal four existing regulations:
- Gujarat Maternity Benefit Rules, 1964
- Payment of Gratuity (Gujarat) Rules, 1973
- Gujarat State Unorganized Workers Social Security Rules, 2011
- Gujarat Workmen’s Compensation Rules, 1967
