Chhattisgarh Draft Rules for the Social Security Code
The Chhattisgarh government notified the Draft Social Security Rules, 2021 in the gazette on 25 May 2021.
Applicability
Once in force, the Draft Rules will apply across the whole of Chhattisgarh, effective from the date following their final publication in the Official Gazette. They will repeal six existing regulations:
- Chhattisgarh Workmen’s Compensation Rules, 1962
- Chhattisgarh Workmen’s Compensation (Occupational Diseases) Rules, 1963
- Chhattisgarh Maternity Benefit Rules, 1965
- Payment of Gratuity (Chhattisgarh) Rules, 1973
- Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008
- Chhattisgarh Unorganized Workers Social Security Rules, 2008
