The Draft Rules were notified in the Uttar Pradesh gazette on 23 March 2021.
Applicability
Once in force, the Draft Rules will extend to the whole of Uttar Pradesh and will come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
Rules to Be Repealed
On coming into force, the Draft Rules will repeal:
- The Uttar Pradesh Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1975
- The Uttar Pradesh Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1983
- The Uttar Pradesh Bidi and Cigar Workers (Conditions of Employment) Rules, 1969
- The Uttar Pradesh Factories Rules, 1950
- The Uttar Pradesh Factories (Welfare Officers) Rules, 1955
- The Uttar Pradesh Factories (Safety Officers) Rules, 1984
