The Uttar Pradesh government notified the Draft Rules for the Industrial Relations Code in the gazette on 18 February 2021.
Applicability
Once in force, the Draft Rules will apply across the whole of Uttar Pradesh, effective from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. They will repeal three existing regulations:
- Uttar Pradesh Trade Union Regulations, 1927
- Uttar Pradesh Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Rules, 1946
- Industrial Disputes (Uttar Pradesh) Rules, 1976
