When a Graduate, Technician, or Technician (Vocational) apprentice joins an establishment, the employer must prepare an index card with their complete biodata, in the given format, within 10 days of engagement.
The employer keeps one copy and sends the others to:
- The Central Apprenticeship Adviser
- The Director of the concerned Regional Board of Apprenticeship Training
- The technical institution, if the apprentice is a sandwich course student
