Annual Quota

Updated on: June 29, 2026 Mayuri 1 min read

An annual leave quota is the total number of paid leave days an employer grants an employee per year. The exact number varies by company, though most organizations allocate somewhere between 21 and 30 days annually.

Employees can take these days as needed, subject to the company’s leave policy. Each day taken gets deducted from the quota. Any unused days at the end of the year are typically carried forward to the next, depending on company policy.
