Baby Boomers

Baby Boomers are the generation born between 1946 and 1964, named after the sharp rise in birth rates that followed World War II. The term “boomer” is shorthand for this cohort, which represents one of the largest generational groups in the modern workforce.

Like any generational label, it’s a broad categorization. HR professionals working across multi-generational teams are better served by treating employees as individuals than by applying generational assumptions, whether to Baby Boomers, Millennials, or anyone else.
