Applicability

  • Applies to any establishment or employer employing ten or more persons
  • Covers all employees engaged directly or through an agency, including contractors, for remuneration in any factory or establishment
  • Employee contribution: 0.2% of salary, wages, or remuneration, capped at ₹31
  • Employer contribution: twice the employee’s contribution
  • The ₹31 cap is revised annually in line with the Consumer Price Index, effective from 1 January each year
  • Extends to the entire state of Haryana
