If an employee has a complaint, they can submit it in writing, in the given format, to the Inspector.
Once the Inspector receives a complaint, they examine the employer’s relevant records, question any employees involved, and take down statements as needed for the inquiry. If satisfied that maternity benefit or payment has been wrongfully withheld, the Inspector directs the employer to pay the woman, either immediately or within a set period.
