The Chhattisgarh Shram Kalyan Nidhi Adhiniyam, 1982 (and its rules) establishes a fund to finance and carry out activities that promote the welfare of labour in the state. Both employees and employers contribute to these welfare schemes. A separate board — made up of representatives from employers, employees, and the state government — oversees the fund.
