Compliance Framework

A compliance framework is a structured set of guidelines outlining how an organization stays aligned with the regulations, specifications, or legislation it’s subject to. For compliance officers, it’s one of the most useful tools for building out a compliance program efficiently, since it gives them a starting structure rather than having to build everything from scratch.

Organizations lean on these frameworks for more than just box-checking: they enhance security, improve business processes, and support broader goals, things like qualifying to sell cloud products and services to government agencies, which often demand specific compliance standards. A good framework also gives people across the organization a shared vocabulary, which makes it easier to push toward more secure, efficient practices company-wide.
