Applicant

An applicant is someone who formally applies for something, whether that’s a job, a place at a college, a legal remedy, or any other opportunity offered by a company, institution, or government body.

In recruitment specifically, each applicant is assigned a unique identifier, an Applicant ID, which is used to track their progress through the hiring process.
